Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Pray for existing believers among the O tribe and those emerging among the S. Ask God to empower them to lead peace-building efforts and share the gospel within their own communities. Pray for courage, wisdom, and protection as they step into leadership roles. May the God of Peace crush Satan’s schemes and empower these believers to stand firm. Ask that indigenous-led prayer houses would grow and multiply.
Celebration and Baptism
Amazigh of North Africa: Fourteen brothers from the countryside came down to visit us. They brought lunch with them, and we spent the day sharing food, praying, worshiping, and learning together. It was amazing to see how God is at work among them. What a true blessing and encouragement. It was especially exciting to witness their spiritual growth as they shared Scripture, testimonies, and encouragement with some new believers who are just beginning their journey of faith. Please pray as they plan to gather for a large celebration and baptism. Ask the Lord to strengthen these new believers, deepen their faith, and unite them in love and boldness.
Living Stones
Antakarana of Madagascar: In a village on Nosy Mitsio, local believers are petitioning the village elders for a small plot of land where they can build a simple church and gather for worship and fellowship. The elders are concerned that granting permission could upset the king. Pray that God would grant the believers favor with the village leaders and open the way for this request to be approved. More importantly, pray that the people in the village would have many opportunities to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, that hearts would be receptive to the Gospel, and that a growing community of “living stones” would be built, established, and strengthened for God’s glory.
No Voice
Somalis of East Africa and Diaspora: Recently, my “person of peace” invited me to her house to offer counseling to “Mary.” When I met her four years ago, she was full of energy despite her circumstances—having four children and living with a depressed husband who beat her. She shared that the villagers had been hurling insults at her. They would call her a madwoman while she was on her way to the market, to the point that she now believes she is one. She told me that her veil covers the tears and pain, and that it has become her best companion. She told me, “women in my faith are suffering too much and have no voice.” She asked me to pray, and I asked Jesus to heal her husband and children. As we were escorting her to get her transport back to her village, I told her that whenever she feels defeated and fearful, she should call on the Name of Jesus. I don’t know how she took it, but I asked her to give it a try.
Farming and Faith
UPGs of the Sahel: Please pray for two workers traveling this week to support an ongoing ministry among the S. people. This opportunity has come through a local believer whose faith journey began at one of our centres in Europe. During this trip, they will provide sustainable agriculture training to vulnerable communities, helping families develop practical skills that can strengthen livelihoods and food security. Please pray for protection, good health, and safe travel throughout their journey. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom, discernment, and favour in every meeting and activity. Pray that hearts would be open to the gospel and that meaningful, Christ-centred relationships would be built within the community. May the Holy Spirit move powerfully among the S., bringing hope, transformation, and spiritual growth across the Sahel. Pray also that the agricultural training would have a lasting impact, equipping families and communities to flourish both now and in the future.
Those in Prison
Arabs of North Africa: Please pray over those who are still in prison for their faith in Jesus. Also lift up those who have been released according to their sentence—that they would be welcomed back into the arms of the loving family of God. That they would be cared for and continue to share His name with all those around them. May their time in prison not be wasted, but be used for His glory. We heard from the wife of one of our imprisoned brothers that two days ago his mother went to be with the Lord. Please pray for his heart as he learns of this news. The wife is asking that he be released to attend the funeral. That would be a miracle, but let’s pray that happens.
Study Relaunch
Islanders: ‘Mary’ has studied on and off with a plateau team member, but the studies lost momentum during the fasting month. Meanwhile ‘Abigail’, Mary’s niece, has watched some stories online and is interested in seeing more. So we have relaunched the study, this time using a video that gives an overview of the whole story of the Word and how Jesus is the center of it all. Pray that they would respond well to the video, that it would convince them of their need for Jesus.
Gospel Access in the Sahel
UPGs of the Sahel: The Sahel is home to dozens of large unreached people groups with little or no access to the gospel. Pray that God would open hearts among the Fulani, Tuareg, Songhai, Kanuri, and many others who have yet to hear the good news of Jesus. Ask the Lord to send laborers into these harvest fields and raise up local believers who can make disciples among their own people. Pray for spiritual breakthroughs that result in entire families and communities turning to Christ.
Hiking and Hope
African Diaspora: Praise the Lord for the “petit groupe” who recently took a trip together and had fun hiking and canoeing. The Lord opened up wonderful opportunities for these four believing ladies to share again the hope they have in Jesus with their five North African friends. And of course, they enjoyed Tajine, Couscous and mint tea! The five ladies have been studying the scriptures now for almost three years—some have even come to church. Please pray for spiritual breakthroughs—that this Jesus they read about in the gospels is not just a wonderful prophet, but that they would recognize him as their savior.
Bleating Sheep to Shedding of Blood
Arabs of North Africa: Many Arabs across North Africa celebrated Eid al-Adha last week, a holiday that commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son. Families gather to slaughter sheep and share meals as they reflect on the meaning of sacrifice and devotion to God. For our teams serving among this largely unreached people group, this season provides a natural opportunity to point friends and neighbors to the greater sacrifice God provided through Jesus Christ. As they join local families for meals and conversations, many have opportunity to sharing the good news that Jesus is the Lamb of God who was slain for the sins of the world. Pray that many would recognize Jesus as the true Lamb of God and receive Him as Lord and Savior.
Flaming Arrows
O of Kenya: Please pray for the believers from Muslim backgrounds in northern Kenya who are facing opposition and persecution from their local community. Ask that these trials would not weaken them, but instead strengthen their faith and grow the Church deep and strong. Pray against the ‘flaming arrows’ of fear, and ask that God would protect His people, anchoring them in a deep and abiding love for Jesus. Pray for those serving in frontline ministry, that they would be sustained, encouraged, and upheld through the prayers of others. Ask that God’s light would shine powerfully in this region, drawing many out of darkness and into the saving grace of Christ. And as we pray, let’s ask with expectation—that God would do far more than we can ask or imagine, building His Church and transforming lives even in the midst of opposition.
Translation Work in Exodus
Makhuwa Nahara of Mozambique: Our oral translation team has recently completed translating The Song of Moses as part of a larger translation project of the book of Exodus. The team is preparing for the much larger task of translating the entire New Testament orally. Two Gospels have been completed. Work of this kingdom significance rarely goes uncontested, and this season was no exception. The team pressed through a regional fuel shortage, a serious illness among one of their young children, and personal burdens carried by their leader for his son’s difficulties at college. Yet the Lord sustained them through it all. Fuel was provided, the child recovered, the son is working hard, and the translation was completed — described by the team as one of the richest and most meaningful passages they have worked on. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness! Pray for continued protection, endurance and spiritual insights for the Translators. Pray that the translated Word will be faithful and clear — carrying the full weight of its meaning. Pray that those who have never encountered the Word of God might hear it spoken in their own tongue, receive it with gladness, and be saved.
In Chains
Arabs of North Africa: Lord, we pray for those imprisoned because of their faith in Jesus. We ask for faithful endurance and for each one to live in the presence of the Spirit. For those who are bruised reeds and smoldering wicks, or for those who have denied you and have broken minds… gather them in your arms of compassion and heal them please, Jesus.
Provision and Gospel Hope
Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Many in the Nuba Mountains are exhausted after days of instability, interrupted sleep, and uncertainty. Some families remain unable to travel because key roads are considered too dangerous. Others are sheltering multiple displaced relatives in already crowded homes. One local worker described hearing bursts of gunfire while praying quietly with a small group of believers gathered indoors. Despite fear, they chose to continue praying together for peace and protection over their communities. Pray for supernatural protection over those unable to evacuate safely. Pray for open paths of escape where needed and wisdom about when to move or stay. Pray for physical provision—food, clean water, medicine, and rest—for displaced families. Pray for restraint among armed groups and for violence to de-escalate rapidly. Above all pray that the hope of the Gospel would remain visible in the lives of believers through acts of compassion, courage, and unity during this crisis.
The Great Commission
Bara of Madagascar: The Great Commission continues from generation to generation, and we are grateful for the privilege of serving among people who still have little access to the good news of Jesus Christ. One of the greatest encouragements has been seeing younger believers joyfully embracing the call to go, serve, and proclaim Christ. Please pray that God would continue awakening His Church — especially the next generation — to carry the Gospel to places where His name is still not widely known. “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4. Pray for hearts to be open to the Gospel and for unreached communities to come into the Kingdom of God.
Gideon moment
Chadian Arabs: Please pray for wisdom regarding the future of the English Centre, with so many unknowns about staffing due to the visa situation. Ask that God would provide the right people at the right time and continue His work without interruption. Pray that students would feel compelled to keep reading God’s Word and growing in faith, even if they are no longer able to attend formal classes. Above all, pray that through every challenge, God would be changing hearts and drawing many Chadians to Himself. May this be a ‘Gideon moment’ for Chad—where even with fewer workers, the seeds sown would bear lasting spiritual fruit, multiplied far beyond what we can see.
Marriage
African Diaspora: Please pray for the marriages of our English students. Many are opening up about struggles in their relationships and are asking sincere questions about what Christian marriage looks like, especially as they compare it with what their own cultures and religions teach. Pray that in these moments of vulnerability, their hearts would be softened and open to the Good News of Jesus—that they would see not just a different model of marriage, but a deeper picture of Christ’s sacrificial love for His bride, the Church. Ask that our conversations would be filled with grace, wisdom, and truth, and that the Holy Spirit would be at work, drawing them closer to Himself. We praise God that they trust us enough to share these personal questions, and we pray that this trust would lead to genuine encounters with Christ and transformed hearts.
Doing Good
Toposa of South Sudan: Pray that those who are now following Jesus would live lives above reproach and be known for doing what is good. Pray that their neighbors would clearly see how the love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit have set them free from fear of evil spirits. May those still enslaved to fear be drawn to the Light.
Openness and Hope
Makhuwa Nahara of Mozambique: The hardship in this community is especially visible among young people striving to make a living in small market stalls, selling basic goods to get by each day. Simple acts of connection—speaking in the local language and spending time with them—bring genuine encouragement and open doors for deeper conversations. There is a growing openness to engaging with Scripture, especially through audio resources, and many are drawn to the message of hope they are hearing. Please pray that this hunger would continue to grow, and that the truth of the gospel would take root in hearts, pointing many toward the lasting hope found in Jesus. Pray also for the ongoing work of making Scripture available in the local language, particularly through audio recordings, which has faced recent challenges. Ask for clarity, unity, and strength for the team as they continue this work, and for every obstacle to be overcome so that more people can hear and respond to God’s Word. May the hope of Christ shine brightly and reach many in this community.
Boldness, Wisdom and Endurance
Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Please also pray for the many unreached people groups across Sudan, where very few workers are able to live long-term due to ongoing instability. Ask the Lord to protect and preserve the presence of those who have been able to remain, that they, alongside local Jesus-followers, would joyfully share the Good News. Pray that those reaching into this war-torn land through online connections would bring meaningful light into places of deep darkness. Ask that God would strengthen and protect local believers, giving them boldness, wisdom, and endurance as they bear witness in difficult circumstances. Pray that the Gospel would spread in unexpected ways—that through personal relationships, digital connections, and faithful testimony, many who have never heard would encounter Jesus. Pray for true spiritual breakthrough: for reconciliation, forgiveness, and transformed hearts, and that even out of this crisis, God would bring lasting fruit and revival.
Harvest Season
Rangi of Tanzania: The harvest season has begun in the village—fields are being gathered with peanuts, sunflower seeds, maize, and beans. In the coming months, many families will be fully occupied with bringing in the crops that sustain their daily lives. Please pray that, in this season of provision, hearts would be open to recognizing God as the ultimate Provider. Pray that through the abundance of the harvest, many would begin to see His care, generosity, and faithfulness in new ways. Jesus often used agricultural imagery in His parables. Pray that the team would have many opportunities to share His truth in ways that are culturally meaningful and easy to understand.
Medical Outreach
Sudanese Refugees: Pray for those affected by ongoing conflict and social unrest—that they would experience peace, restoration, and hope in Christ. Lift up the health workers serving both in clinics and in communities, as they teach practical care and extend compassion. Ask that believers would not grow weary in doing good, but would be daily strengthened by God’s presence, filled with endurance. Holy Spirit, bring healing and transformation through these care-givers in Jesus Name.
Love and Trust
Islanders: We praise the Lord for a report of local believers gathering together recently with a visiting elder. Several leaders from house fellowships were present, including both current groups and ones that had not met for some time. There was a meaningful message of unity, love, and forgiveness, especially as some leaders had been separated for years due to past conflicts. Please pray that the Lord would restore His people to their first love and rebuild trust among them. May these believers be strengthened to live out their faith boldly in their community—reflecting Christ in their actions, relationships, and daily lives. Pray that they would joyfully share the hope they have found in Jesus, and that many would be drawn to Him through their witness.
Hope in Present Suffering
Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Please continue to pray for Sudan as drone attacks and ongoing fighting destroy hospitals, displace thousands, and take civilian lives. Many communities are living in constant fear, with access to healthcare becoming increasingly limited. Pray for protection over civilians, medical workers, and aid providers, and ask God to bring restraint and wisdom to those in positions of leadership. Pray that the Lord would intervene with justice and mercy, and that decisions made in this critical time would lead toward peace. Above all, ask that even in the midst of violence and loss, many would turn to the one true God and find hope that goes beyond present suffering.
Students –past, present, and future
Chadian Arabs: Please pray for Centre in Chad as visa challenges create uncertainty about the programs. Pray that we would trust in the Lord’s sovereign rule over these obstacles, knowing He is not limited by them. Lift up the students—past, present, and future—that their hearts would be open to the truth they have encounter in the Word and believe the Good News. Pray especially for the current New Testament class as they work to finish their readings before the teacher’s visa expires. Ask that they would clearly understand the gospel and respond with surrendered lives to Christ.
Encountering the Good News
Bara of Madagascar: Pray for the 750,000 Bara people living in the grasslands of south-central Madagascar. In the villages, the Gospel is being shared through the Jesus Film and testimonies, and many people are hearing the Good News for the first time, while others are encountering it again. Ask that the Holy Spirit would deeply touch their hearts and give them understanding of the truth. Ask that many among the Bara people would have a living encounter with Christ and believe in Him for salvation.
Separation and Loss
Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Communication has become increasingly difficult as people relocate frequently to avoid conflict zones. Some ministry leaders have gone days without hearing from close relatives, not knowing whether they are alive, hiding, or displaced. A training center that had recently been full of worship, teaching, and preparation for outreach now sits largely abandoned after students and staff fled during nearby fighting. Personal belongings, books, and supplies were left behind in haste. Pray for separated families to reconnect safely. Pray for courage and endurance among local pastors and ministry leaders carrying heavy emotional burdens. Pray for wisdom as leaders make difficult decisions with limited information. Ask for moments of quiet and safety where people can rest physically and spiritually. Lift up younger believers especially who are experiencing these intense trials that fear would not harden hearts or extinguish faith.
As Christ loved the church
M People of Tanzania: Please pray for “M” a disciple whose wife is very angry that he has chosen to leave Islam and their witchcraft practices to follow Christ. Please pray that she has an encounter with Jesus and will choose to join her husband in following Him. Pray that “M” will be able to love her well in this challenging time.
Let the little Children come
Makhuwa Nahara of Mozambique: Please pray for the team as they begin using new material on the life of Christ with the children at Namiteka. Ask that the children would clearly understand the message of the gospel, and that their hearts would be open to respond in faith and surrender to the Lord Jesus. Pray also for the students in one of the worker’s classes—that they would grow in grace, in understanding, and in the fear of God. Ask that the Lord would shape them into faithful servants who love Him deeply and serve His people with humility, love, and steadfastness.
Whole Families
Amazigh of North Africa: We praise you for both women and men responding to the gospel. We ask that spouses of believers would also believe. Let the church of God know how to walk forward together, men and women, united in prayer as they were in Acts 1:14.
Accessible Scripture
Bara of Madagascar: We praise God for new opportunities to share the message of Christ in local languages through media, storytelling, and community outreach. An online ministry page that shares testimonies and Gospel content has now reached over 1,000,000 views. We are thankful for how God is using simple tools to spread His Word. Work also continues on Bible story recordings that are helping make Scripture accessible to people hearing it in their own language for the first time. Alongside this, ministry continues through children’s outreach, education initiatives, sports ministry, and practical care within local communities. Please pray for endurance, wisdom, and health for local believers and ministry workers as they continue faithfully serving and sharing the hope of Christ. May the Word and work among the Bara bring new life.
Safe Journey
Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: With military escort assistance and despite several hours of delay due to a tire puncture, our team safely made the journey from the conflict zone to a safer area. Shortly after they arrived, they received news that another town had suffered a brutal attack, causing widespread panic and massive displacement. Reports indicate burned markets, destroyed property, and loss of life. Keep all those serving in the midst of this crisis in your prayers. One encouraging sign is the heartfelt appreciation many Muslim families are expressing toward the Christians providing practical help and compassionate care. Even amid instability, work continues through discipleship, relief efforts, agriculture-based livelihood recovery, and teacher training. Pray for strength, wisdom, protection, and endurance as our team and their partners serve hurting communities, encourage believers, and help families begin rebuilding their lives. Please ask the Lord to bring an end to this violence, that hearts would be turned to the Prince of Peace!
Intense Conflict
Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: The conflict in the Nuba Mountains has intensified. Families in several mountain communities fled their homes after gunfire moved closer to civilian areas. Many spent the night outside, hiding in fields or among rocks with little food or water, unsure if it is safe to return. One local believer shared that children have begun crying whenever they hear distant vehicles because they associate the sound with incoming attacks. Parents are trying to comfort them while carrying their own fear and exhaustion. Pray for protection over families sheltering in remote areas tonight. Pray over local believers as they try to still gather to pray and encourage one another despite the danger. Pray for roads to reopen safely so trapped workers and families can move if necessary. Pray for Peace to overcome fear and violence throughout the region.
God Speaks their language
Karimojong of Uganda: A local believer recently gathered a small group under a tree in a remote community where there is no church to listen to Scripture in their own language. Some came curious, others cautious. As the story of Zacchaeus played from “the Proclaimer” (an audio Bible player), the group listened intently — again and again — discovering new details each time. One young man finally asked, “Is that the voice of God in that little box?” A mother responded with surprise, “Does God speak Ngakarimojong, then?” Another observes, “Jesus went to visit Zacchaeus. (Pointing to the Proclaimer) I think He visited us today!” Many in this community have never heard the Bible before. Pray that hearts would continue opening to Jesus, that these listening groups would grow, and that local leaders sharing God’s Word would be strengthened and protected.
Taboos
Tanala of Madagascar: During our time in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, taboos have had a significant impact on both daily life and ministry. Recently, we tried to help a woman receive medical treatment, but she was unable to attend even a simple appointment due to fear of breaking certain taboos. While some of these practices reflect cultural wisdom, many are shaped by a deep fear of consequences and a sense of spiritual bondage. Please pray for the Malagasy people—that the truth of the gospel would break through fear and bring true freedom in Christ. Pray Galatians 5:1 over them: “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Ask that hearts would be set free, that many would come to know the love and authority of Jesus, and that they would walk in the liberty He alone can give.
Transitions and Opposition
Neem of Chad: Please pray for the UPG we call the “Neem” of Chad during a season of significant transition and uncertainty. The team working among this group is experiencing many changes. One teammate is retiring, and another family cannot return because of the visa ban for Americans. Unless the visa situation changes very soon, the one remaining family will need to relocate in June (to a place where they can receive stronger support and serve in community). If these changes proceed, there may soon be no long-term workers remaining in this area. Pray for open doors for future ministry among the Neem. There has been increasing spiritual opposition and community resistance. In one nearby village where deep relationships were once strong, some people are now hesitant to engage openly with foreigners because of pressure from local religious leaders. Pray especially for “Ruth” who has spent years quietly listening to and considering the Good News—that she and others would have courage, conviction of sin, and come to believe in Jesus as Lord. Pray that hearts would open and that seeds planted over many years would bear fruit in God’s timing.
Medical Care for Refugees
Sudanese Refugees: Please pray for the South Sudan region of Upper Nile, where the influx of new refugees is bringing both great challenges and meaningful opportunities for ministry. As medical care opens doors to share the gospel and pray with those who are suffering, ask that many would not only receive physical healing but also have hearts that are open to the Good News of Jesus
Pray for Healing
Makhuwa Nahara of Mozambique: Recently, a small team visited a seriously ill man to pray with him and his family. His mother is Muslim but showed a remarkable openness to listening and engaging in spiritual conversation. It was deeply touching to see how gently the translation team worked with the lady and her son. The people here have very little medical help to turn to. We had heard that witchdoctors are involved in the case. While being sensitive to the fears that are part of the local culture, the team shared about placing trust in Jesus alone. Please pray for this family and others in their community—that they would accept the Way to peace, lasting hope, and spiritual healing. May fear of the spirits be replaced by faith in Jesus.
Prayer for relocation
Nuba Mountain Muslim UPGs: Please continue to carry the Nuba Mountains before the Lord. Over the past week, the situation in the Kauda, Heiban, and Otoro/Shuwaia regions has deteriorated rapidly. Escalating violence has directly impacted ministry teams, facilities, and the communities they serve, leaving many families displaced and living in uncertainty. Pray for an immediate de-escalation of the conflict and for peace to prevail. Pray for strength, wisdom, and discernment for local church and ministry leaders as they care for hurting communities under immense pressure. Ask the Lord to comfort those grieving loss, separation, fear, and instability. Please also pray that believers in the mountains would remain steadfast in faith and continue boldly testifying to the hope they have in Jesus, even in the midst of crisis. Pray especially for our workers preparing to travel tomorrow for temporary relocation because of the ongoing tribal conflict that has displaced thousands. They are trusting the Lord for protection and peace as they journey toward a more secure area, where they hope to spend two weeks participating in an agriculture and teacher-training program before departing the Nuba region later next month. Please pray for safety on the roads, wisdom in every decision, open paths for travel, and ultimately for an end to the violence that has torn so many lives apart.
Bible Translation Progress
Antandroy of Madagascar: Please pray for the Antandroy people of Madagascar, a group of about 930,000 living in the arid, extreme south of the country. Pray especially for those working in difficult environmental and economic conditions, that they would experience both God’s provision and His mercy. Give thanks that Bible translation is progressing among them, with the four Gospels, Acts, and several epistles now available in both print and audio formats. Pray for the team working alongside local churches, and for the pastor who is broadcasting the Jesus (1979 film), asking that these resources would be used powerfully by God to reveal Christ. Ask the Lord to bring a true breakthrough of the Gospel among the Antandroy—that His Word would take root deeply, and that many would come to faith in Jesus. Pray for spiritual awakening and revival across communities, that hearts would be turned to Christ and entire families and villages would be transformed by the Good News.
