Outreach to Refugees

Sudanese Refugees: Refugees across neighboring countries continue to face uncertainty, fear of deportation, and vulnerability to exploitation and violence. Many are women and children carrying deep trauma and loss. Pray that churches in host nations would reach out with compassion, practical help, and the love of Christ. Ask that those who have experienced violence and loss would encounter God’s peace and healing.

Prophet Stories

Somali of East Africa and Diaspora: Please pray for two young men we recently met before football training who have shown a sincere desire to learn more about God. Though devoted to their own religion, they have agreed to study the journey of the prophets from Adam to Jesus and committing to a 13-week study. This is now on it’s third week, and each session is bringing thoughtful, honest questions as we explore Scripture together. Ask the Lord to give wisdom as His Word is shared, and pray that He would open their hearts to the truth of the Gospel.

Conversations during the Fasting Month

Chadian Arabs: Pray for several individuals who have recently heard about Jesus through conversations during Ramadan and hospital visits. Some have shown a genuine interest in continuing to seek truth and learn more about the gospel. Ask that God would continue to draw them to Himself and open their spiritual eyes. Pray that these early conversations would lead to deeper understanding and lasting faith.

Easter Service

Diaspora: Pray for two islanders who have moved abroad for health care. They connected with a worker friend in their new city and agreed to come to an Easter service! Pray that the service would have touched their hearts and challenged them to take seriously this Jesus who rose from the dead.

Film and Testimonies

Bara of Madagascar: Please pray for the villages where the Gospel is being shared through testimonies, the story of Mary Magdalene, and the message of Jesus. Many people are hearing the Good News for the first time, while others are encountering it again. Pray that the Holy Spirit would deeply touch their hearts and give them understanding of the truth. Ask that many among the Bara people would have a living encounter with Christ and believe in Him for salvation.

Baby steps

Antakarana of Madagascar: The wife of “A” also chose to follow Jesus, but she is still uncertain about what her new faith means. Even so, “A” says that he already sees a clear difference in her. This early transformation is encouraging. Pray that she will grow in confidence, understanding, and joy as she learns to walk with Christ.

Rekindle

Islanders: Pray for our study groups that have ‘fizzled out’ during the fasting month. Pray that motivation and momentum would return, that people would remember what they previously studied and be able to jump back in. Pray particularly for a group on the plateau that haven’t studied for a long time: local believing couple are hoping to rekindle it. Pray for open hearts to receive the word with joy.

Healing and Openness

Rangi of Tanzania: Please pray for a 8-year old boy, H., who was rushed to the hospital in the capital city by one of the workers. He ended up having typhoid and an obstructed bowel. He’s improving but still very ill. Pray for his healing and for this tangible help to open a door for sharing God’s love with his whole family.

From Darkness to Hope

Antakarana of Madagascar: “A” had been planning to use spirit practices to harm his boss’s family. When Brother “R” heard about this, he asked “A” if he could share a better way, and A agreed to listen. As “R” explained the message of Jesus, “A” and his wife both decided to begin following Christ. Pray that their new faith will continue to transform their hearts, bringing peace and freedom where fear once ruled.

Jealousy

Rangi of Tanzania: “We are a people group with hearts of jealousy,” one neighbor told us recently, “We don’t want others to get ahead. We are happy when they have a hard life.” We have witnessed this dark cloud of jealousy over and over again in the Rangi people and it truly is heartbreaking. Pray the Lord would bring light into that darkness of selfishness and reveal to them the beauty of sacrificial love.

In Christ Alone

Bara of Madagascar: Although up to half have come to identify as “Christian” less than 2% are evangelical believers and many still follow traditional practices such as ancestor veneration. Pray that believers among the Bara would grow strong in faith and become witnesses to their own people. Ask the Lord to open hearts across Bara villages so many more will come to put their hope in Christ alone.

Translation Projects

Lopit of South Sudan: As a people they believe in a supreme god, spirits and the spiritual sphere. Pray that Lopit believers will fix their eyes on Jesus as they endure opposition, so that they will not grow weary and lose heart. Pray that those around them will see their lives, hear their testimonies, and be drawn into an intimate relationship with their Heavenly Father. Pray for Lopit Bible translation projects, for wisdom and discernment in how to best communicate God’s truth.

The Gospel Spreads Through Friendship

Antakarana of Madagascar: When “R” went to meet with “A” about baptism, “A” invited a friend to come and hear the message of Jesus as well. As the gospel was shared again, this friend also chose to put his faith in Christ. Pray that these friendships will become pathways for the gospel to spread throughout the Antakarana community

Troubles for the Messengers *

Rangi of Tanzania: Last weekend, meetings in local village mosques focused on the presence of Christian workers. Influential leaders spread false claims, warning the community to avoid interacting with these foreigners. The Rangi people were told that the outsiders had come to steal precious jewels from the mountains and to corrupt village children into sinful behavior. Pray that the Rangi people would not be shaped by fear or misinformation, but instead have eyes to see the truth. Ask that hearts would be softened, curiosity stirred, and many would seek understanding for themselves. Pray that, even amid efforts to block the Good News, the Rangi people would encounter the love, peace, and truth of Jesus. Pray also that the workers would have wisdom to address these lies, courage to stand and endure, and humility to count it joy in the face of trials.

Settled Nomads

Fulani of West Africa: There is a small Fulani sub-group in Chad who have constructed their own small shelter where they meet for church each Sunday. These 4-5 men, and their wives, who have believed over many years are nomads who settled down and have persevered despite many attempts to draw them away from the gospel. Pray for the Fulata man who has some bible training, as he guides these families. Pray they would reach out to their neighbors.

Wife and Mom

Chadian Arabs: Pray for a sister who continues following Christ, but has little opportunity for fellowship. Through the years, she has been severely persecuted and her husband, has often spoken of divorcing her and taking away the children. Ask that God will turn his heart to understand his need of a Saviour. May this sister maintain the joy she has in believing and continue to teach her children the truths of the gospel.

“I don’t have time”

Islanders: Pray for our very small group of believers that are meeting, but not very good at consistency. The feeling of “I don’t have time” etc has a way of taking over. Pray they will grow in their desire for unity. Pray they will come to see the importance of fellowship and prioritize the Word and prayer.

Discipleship

Arabs of North Africa: Please pray for a new sister as she grows in her journey with Jesus. She has been feeling very lonely and her faith has had many ups and downs as she continues to build a foundation in the Word. Pray that she would build strong relationships with other believers who can faithfully guide her in truth. Ask that she would gain deeper understanding, encouragement, and lasting faith.

Love of the Father

Somali of East Africa and Diaspora: Praise God for 3 Somali ladies who came to a women’s event about love. We had valuable interfaith dialogue! Praise also that two Somali men were able to spend time with the pastor of the church. Please pray for deepening relationships and that hearts would be drawn toward the love of the Father.

Heart Change

Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Pray for leaders and authorities. Ask that God would intervene and bring justice, wisdom, and restraint. Pray that decisions made now would open doors for peace and for the Gospel to spread freely. Pray for lasting transformation. Ask not just for peace—but for hearts to be changed by the Gospel. Pray for reconciliation, forgiveness, and new life in Christ across these communities. May revival rise out of this crisis.

School Children

Bara of Madagascar: Please pray for the children attending B. School, approximately one-third of the 1,200 children are from the Bara people. Ask that these children would come to know Jesus personally and receive the gift of salvation. Pray for courage to stand strong in faith when they face pressures at home to follow traditional rituals or visit witch doctors. Pray that the Gospel would also reach their families and that parents’ hearts would be transformed by Christ.

Before the harvest

Rangi of Tanzania: Pray for Mama R., a single mom of 3 kids who is also caring for her aging and sick parents. They live in a one-room brick house and have no steady source of income. Many people in the village are struggling financially during these months before the harvest comes in. Poverty and hunger are common. Pray for Mama R. and others, that they would open their hearts to the True Provider and experience His healing in their broken souls, bodies, and relationships.

Reading the Word

Chadian Arabs: Pray for 3 men who are reading the Your Word outside of English class. Please give them understanding. Let Your Word come alive to them. Remove confusion, doubt, and fear. Lead them to a place of full surrender to You. We also pray for others we may not know of who have heard the stories or have access to Scripture. Seek them out, Lord. Call them to Yourself. Create in them a hunger to read Your Word and a deep desire to know the truth.

Fleeing

Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Civilians are in danger. Pray for God’s protection over families threatened by the violence around them. Many are fleeing and being evacuated. Ask that the Lord would make a way where there seems to be none—and reveal Himself as a refuge.  Pray for safe passage and that God would guide every step. May many call on His name and be saved. Ask that even on the move, people would encounter Jesus in powerful ways. May displacement lead to divine encounters.

Urgent Prayer for Peace

Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Pray urgently for peace in Shuwaia, Toror, and surrounding areas as violence escalates. Ask God to calm tensions, stop further bloodshed, and protect families forced to flee—providing safety, shelter, and hope. Pray that hearts would turn from revenge to forgiveness through Christ. Lift up aid workers and ministry partners for protection, strength, and boldness to share the Gospel—may many encounter Jesus through their peaceful presence in the midst of chaos.

For Believers during Eid *

Islanders: Pray for the local believers who will be navigating Eid this week. Eid is a time of family reunions, extravagant meals, new clothes, and community activities, all wrapped around religious events and prayers. Attending the religious center at Eid is like going to a Christmas service in Christian majority areas: Many will only go that day, so it makes it extra hard for believers not to participate. One group of believers is planning their own worship event during the morning when the majority of the prayers and sermons are happening. May the Lord protect, strengthen, and encourage believers this Eid, especially as they meet with one another and with the Lord this year.

Eid *

Islanders: Pray for this coming weekend as the Islands celebrate Eid. Pray for wisdom in how to be involved with the festivities. Pray for opportunities for followers to Jesus to share about their blessed assurance to their friends, family, and neighbors, even as they celebrate a “successful” fast.  Pray that many locals come to realize the emptiness of all their efforts.

Breaking Fast *

Saharawi of North Africa: Praise for the opportunity to break the Ramadan fast with a Saharawi friend.  Pray for this friend to know Christ for who he really is.  Pray that she would ask questions and have the ability to think about spiritual things.

Revival for Missions

Bara of Madagascar: Please pray for the co-workers and local churches serving among the Bara people. Ask God to deepen their love for Jesus and give them boldness to proclaim the Gospel faithfully. Pray for spiritual awakening among pastors, evangelists, and Bible teachers so that many Bara will hear and believe the message of salvation. Ask the Lord to bring deep transformation in the church and raise up a true revival in this region.

Ramadan division

Amazigh: Through Ramadan, the new believers are deliberately daily gathering to listen to Scripture and teaching and to pray. They send on the teaching each to their own disciples and groups of homes. Two groups of homes have women who have believed, but in the city, none of the brothers’ wives have yet turned to Jesus, nor have the sisters’ husbands. Pray for humility, that those who feel self righteous and justified through the requirements of Islam would recognize their need for rescue. May they humbly repent. May the new sisters in the country be faithfully discipled by their husbands.

Hope in Christ

Didinga People (Didinga Hills, Eastern Equatoria)

  • Pray for the Didinga people, whose traditional beliefs focus on spirits, ancestors, and ritual spiritual leaders.

  • Ask God to bless the Bible-storytelling and trauma-healing work already happening among them.

  • Pray that many Didinga will discover true hope and freedom through Jesus rather than relying on traditional spiritual practices.

New Jesus-Followers

Antakarana of Madagascar: “R” a local believer has been faithfully sharing the message of Jesus among the Antakarana people. Recently, two Antakarana men after hearing the gospel decided to follow Christ. One of the men committed to Jesus along with his wife and family, a powerful step in a community where family and tradition strongly shape faith. Pray that these new believers will grow strong in their faith and boldly share the hope of Jesus with others.

Loving their Neighbors

Bara of Madagascar: Please pray for the local partners who travel to villages to share the Gospel through the Jesus Film and personal ministry. Ask God to protect them, strengthen their health, and encourage their hearts as they serve. Pray for practical provision, including fuel and resources needed for travel between villages. Above all, pray that through their work many Bara people would come to salvation in Christ and that new believers would grow as disciples.

New Outreach

Jiye People (Eastern Equatoria)

  • Pray for the Jiye people  who have very little access to the gospel

  • Ask God to bless the new outreach and training beginning among churches serving Jiye communities.

  • Pray that the message of Jesus will be shared clearly in languages the Jiye understand.

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to open the hearts of those who have never heard about Jesus, leading many to faith in Him.

Spiritual Opposition

Arabs of North Africa: Pray for a brother and his family as they face ongoing fear related to spiritual opposition in their home. Ask that this brother would continue to stand firm in the authority of Jesus, responding with faith rather than fear, and that his trust would become a testimony to his family. Pray that any power of black magic directed toward them would be completely thwarted. Also ask that his aunt would encounter Jesus and experience true freedom and transformation.

Obeying Jesus Through Baptism

Antakarana of Madagascar:  “A” has continued meeting daily with “R” to learn more about Jesus, he expressed a desire to be baptized. At first “R” thought they should wait for a church leader to perform the baptism for “A.”  but after reading the Great Commission and praying, “R” saw that Jesus calls disciples to baptize those they are discipling. Pray for courage and wisdom for local believers like “R” as they obey Jesus and lead others into new life

Soccer with Jesus

Bara of Madagascar: Please pray for the sports outreach among the Bara people, where hundreds of children are hearing the Gospel. Each week, teams visit two or three villages to share chronological Bible stories about Jesus. Ask that the children would clearly understand the message of salvation and respond to Christ in faith. Pray that what they learn would influence their homes and bring spiritual transformation to their villages.

Who is God?

Diaspora in Ontario: (Bible Study with Som* friends) As we begin a new series on “Who is God,” pray that the Lord grants the group wisdom and a deep, transformative understanding of Jesus the saviour.

Fearless Witness

Amazigh of North Africa: As the group of men broke bread together, deliberately choosing not to fast Ramadan, and listened to Scripture and prayed together, the driver got a call. His sister had died. As he began to cry, some told him to stop, but he said, “Don’t you understand? She was still in darkness? I get you: tell your mothers, tell your fathers, tell your brothers and sisters.” The next week his niece believed, the shepherds brother believed, the nephews two school friends believed. Praise Jesus for fearless witness and pray for deep roots.

Sudanese Refugees in Egypt: Leaders and Aid Workers

Sudanese Refugees in Egypt: Sudanese Christian leaders are supporting detainees’ families, sharing trauma care, and strengthening neighborhoods under intense pressure. Pray for protection, endurance, and discernment for these leaders and their loved ones. Through their witness and practical love, may many traumatized refugees meet Jesus and receive His healing and life-giving peace.
