Update on The Makwe of Mozambique
Ramadan Day 21
The Mozambican couple working among the Makwe are using business as access to the community. This gives them contact with the people and also provides for their needs. The business is struggling and this is affecting them. Pray that God will bless this business.
Update on The Gujarati of Madagascar
Ramadan Day 20
There are many Indo-Pakistani Mu$lim communities scattered around Africa. Ask the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers into this harvest field. “It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I (Jesus) speak to you are spirit and they are life.” (John 6:63) Pray this Ramadan many Mu$lims would realize the flesh profits nothing and would hear Jesus’ words of life.
Update on The Gabbra of Kenya

The Somali are in some ways similar to the Gabbra. But most Somalis are fiercely Mu$lim. Pray that God would give both Somalis and Gabbra courage to ask questions during Ramadan. Pray they would develop friendships with believers and see another Way.
Update on The Antakarana of Madagascar
Ramadan Day 18
A lot of the “Mu$lim” Antakarana do not follow through on Ramadan. Pray that this would lead to conversations about why fasting does not meet their spiritual needs. There is a lot of potential for spiritual conversations at this time. Pray the team reaching out to them would be wise and bold to share the Truth.
Update on The Alagwa of Tanzania
Ramadan Day 17
Pray that the local Christians would be empowered by God’s Spirit to share their faith and hope boldly with their families and neighbours. Pray they would walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Update on The Zaramo of Tanzania
Ramadan Day 15
Although they all call themselves Mu$lims, the Zaramo are deeply entrenched in witchcraft and spirit worship. Pray that during this month, God would break the bonds that Satan has so tightly woven around this society. Pray for the believers who are present here as they interact with people regarding witchcraft – that the Holy Spirit would give them the right words to say and that they would stand firm and remember that the “Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are saved.” (Prov. 18:10)
Update on The Rangi of Tanzania
“Islamic cultures tend to establish people of high status as authorities, whereas the authority in Western culture is reason itself.” Nabeel Qureshi “Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus”
This is certainly true here, and it is played out every day in how the Rangi view religion. They are essentially indoctrinated into certain beliefs about their religion and other religions, and, simply put, often those beliefs are selective and/or untrue. But how to get a person to question his/her beliefs? It’s nearly impossible, considering that they simply take what they are taught as truth. With this as their background, and without significant resources to actually investigate what they’ve been taught even if they wanted to, few objectively question their faith. Yet another reason to pray for dreams and visions!
Also, please lift up M. and M.A, two Rangi who recently accepted an invitation to spend 4 days studying through the bible chronologically. This is HUGE!! Pray that the gospel they heard will cause them spiritual turmoil (in relation to what they believe) and will take root!!

Update on The O of East Africa
Ramadan Day 10
Many seeds are being planted – pray against all the schemes of the Devil to snatch away or choke them. May God prepare rich fertile soil for seeds to sink in deeply – that a wonderful harvest of grace and salvation will be reaped! Pray that God will call ‘Men of Peace’ who are willing to find a group of trusted friends to search His Word together. Pray that God will reveal His grace in all its truth as they study. Pray for an extended family group to come into the kingdom, be on fire for the Lord and reach out to other family groups so that God’s Kingdom is advanced further and further and start a church planting movement!
Update on The Nyamwezi of Tanzania

Pray that the believers will show Christ’s love and be bold witnesses during this time to their Mu$lim friends and neighbors. Pray that God would reveal Himself to these people and that they will be more open to listening to the Truth.
Update on The Laarim of South Sudan
Praise the Lord for the chief here in the Kimatong area of the Laarim. He has been most helpful, friendly and welcoming. The missionaries who have stepped in to build the first of the team houses have been very encouraged by his response. The Laarmim are unused to any formal type of work resulting in it being very difficult to try and explain work hours, etc. Please pray that as the work begins to build those first couple of houses, the men being trained to build would be faithful in their commitment to work, but above all they would want to know this Jesus that is being lived among them too, by the missionaries.
Update on The Didinga of South Sudan
The last prayer update continues to be situation up in the Didinga mountains at Nagishot. There is still no pastor for this small gathering of Didinga people each Sunday. The missionaries continue to step in and assist where they can. There is a sense of spiritual warfare as each step forward results in two back. Please pray for the Didinga, pray for the few believers who are trying to make sense of the situation in their country, and also among their own people and the pastors behaviour. There are hard hearts, pray for them to be softened.

Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad
Ramadan Day 6
These nomadic people prioritize their cattle and I$lam above all else. Please pray Mal. 4:2 “ But for those who revere My Name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings… and you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.” May the Mbororo experience the freedom and joy found in Jesus.
Update on The Makwe of Mozambique
Ramadan Day 5
Many Makwe are listening to the Word in story form, but they quickly forget it. This is so discouraging. Pray that God would give them ears to hear that they may hear and believe. It is important for them to remember the stories since one story builds on the other in the narratives.
Update on The Gujarati of Madagascar
Ramadan Day 4
The Gujarati of Madagascar (called Karana) have been in Madagascar for over 100 years and control much of the economy through their businesses. Despite having been in Madagascar so long and often being fluent in French and Malagasy, the Gujarati live very separately from most Malagasy. They retain much of their original culture including language, food and religion. Praise God the Lord has given a Malagasy pastor a burden to reach the Gujarati of Madagascar. Ask the Lord to give him wisdom as he investigates the best way to reach them. Pray the Lord would open Gujarati hearts to the gospel.
Update on The Gabbra of Kenya
Ramadan Day 3
I$lam is increasing in the area. Pray the Gabbra, who are traditionally animistic, would not exchange one form of bondage for another, but would find freedom and forgiveness in Jesus. They believe in merciless justice and that wrongs are righted with payment. Pray that the Gabbra would know God’s mercy and believe that the blood of Jesus has paid for their sins.
Update on The Antakarana of Madagascar
Ramadan Day 2
The Antakarana do not know a lot of details about the Mu$lim practices they follow. I$lam is only a thin veneer over their traditional animistic beliefs. Pray that as they seek outside their ancestral ways, that they would experience the Holy Spirit working in them and that their searching souls would find Christ.
Update on The Alagwa of Tanzania

Update on The Alagwa of Tanzania
Ramadan Day 0
Ramadan starts tomorrow. Millions of Mu$lims around the world will begin a month-long fast during daylight hours. Ramadan is one of the five pillars of I$lam and Mu$lims believe the month of fasting is a required work to please God. Pray this month many Mu$lims would have courage to ponder, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” And that they would hear Jesus’ answer, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” (John 6:28-29)

Pray that the police and military can find a solution to the banditry and that the people of Belitsaky can return to their homes.

Update on The Antandroy of Madagascar
Robert McGuire has had an opportunity to move into an Antandroy community in Tulear this month. It is a very poor, urban location so we are praying that he is able to feel somewhat safe in his new house as he continues to build relationships with the Tandroy people.
Update on The Alagwa of Tanzania
Please pray for man who we have been sharing Jesus with. He has just revealed that there was another issue holding him back from following Jesus. In conversations with some of our team, it came out that he was also “given” a kwaslarimo (witchdoctor) spirit from his ancestors. He said that this spirit that he has will not allow him to follow Jesus, and that he has to choose one or the other: Jesus or the witchdoctor spirit. It is frightening for him, as he believes this spirit will kill him if he follows Jesus. Please continue to pray for this dear man- we long for him to be free and to lead his clan to freedom in Christ.
Update on The Toposa of South Sudan
A group recently went to investigate areas where the Toposa live, and to investigate means to reach the Toposa and plant churches. Please pray that as this group, from various mission organisations, ponder ways and means, that God would guide and lead them in the way to move ahead. This is a large people group and they still remain UNREACHED!
Update on The Lopit of South Sudan
The Lopit have a deep spiritual belief around teeth of babies. Upon not understanding the pain a child goes through when teething, they have a practice of cutting a whole in the baby’s mouth with a knife or nail and removing the baby teeth before they come out as they believe they are evil. Unfortunately many children have died here from this practice and now poor Jubilee is extremely sick and having a hard time recovering from this practice. Please pray for her safety and health! Please also pray That as the TIMO team continue to try to educate, that people will have an openness to hear and not cling so tightly to their world view on this issue that kills many.
Update on The Lokwa of South Sudan
Please pray for the Pastor of this people group. He has very little support as he soldiers on in his part of the harvest field. Pray he would feel encouraged and that many would come to know the Lord & that God would be pleased to use him to reach those whom He has chosen.
Update on The Kacipo of South Sudan
Please pray for this people group. They have very few able to teach them the Word of God. Pray to God for mercy for these people, that the Lord would raise up workers for this harvest field. The country is being ravaged by war and few people are willing to come to this land. Pray for peace so that the Word of God can spread to the Kacipo along with the other Unreached People Groups.
