The Lokwa people are just one of many people groups in the Ikotos area. The area is experiencing a terrible time of unrest. The sound of gunfire is becoming a regular thing, and violence is on the increase. Even the AIC Pastor has been attacked and stabbed with a bayonet, his small child hit on the head with a rifle butt, and taken out to a nearby Ugandan town to be treated, he and his family would certainly appreciate prayer. Please pray for peace in this small but vital town close to the Ugandan border.
Update on The Toposa of South Sudan
It is already dry and dusty and it is only the beginning of the dry season. Food is already very expensive and in short supply. Please pray that the ongoing revenge attacks on other tribes and from other tribes would come to an end. Drought, poor crops and revenge killings are all more than enough for the Toposa to need to turn to Christ. Pray this would be so.
Update on The Laarim of South Sudan
Please pray for this next few weeks as a group of young men from Torit, gather in Kimatong, along with the missionaries, for evangelism and outreach among the Laarim people. This comes at a great time as there has been an unsettling time of insecurity in the area over the last month. Please pray for peace and hearts that are open to the messages of Salvation being brought to them.

Update on The Didinga of South Sudan
With the New Year comes new promises of something good, praise God for this. We have a young Didinga Christian man called Nakarisse, who fled for his life a couple of years ago, when his life was threatened because he was unable to pay the going bride price. Nakarisse fled to Narus where he has continued to grow in the Lord. The really good news is that he is prepared to return as the Pastor for the small struggling church in Nagishot. What great news and we do indeed praise our God. Please pray for him as he prepares to return. That his wifes family would accept them back with no animosity. That he would be warmly welcomed back into the church as Pastor. He needs great counsel from the Lord during these days ahead.
Update on The Nyang’atom of Southern Sudan
As we begin this new year, we face drought and famine in this land. The rains have not been good and crops are poor. Please pray for famine relief to reach this area. But above all pray that the spiritual famine would be met too.
Update on The Antakarana of Madagascar
Please pray for the communities of northern Nosy Mitsio. The ministry team has recently held a successful community meeting with them to initiate a basic healthcare ministry using principles of transformational development. Please pray that future meetings and efforts will be successful, and that the Antakarana can learn to trust in the power of God for healing, as revealed in Jesus, rather than in their ancestors.

One of the Mwani believers at Mocimboa Da Praia is struggling with his wife. She has been following Jesus for sometime but she has of late been reluctant in her faith. She is drawing away from fellowships without clear reasons. Pray that God will warm her (Mama A) heart towards him again. And that the husband will wisely and patiently walk alongside her in this.
Update on The Karimojong of Uganda
Please join me in prayng this passage of scripture for Karamoja. I was strongly impressed by the Spirit this morning that this is for the Kjong people and land, a place that is known as “The Land of Thorns”: Isaiah 55:11-13 It is the same with My Word. I send it wout and it will always produce fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to and it will prosper everywhere I send it. You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, andthe trees of the field will clap their hands! Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name and they will be a sing of His everlasting power and love.
Update on The Islanders of the Indian Ocean
Pray for those who hear the Christmas story this month, whether for the first time or the tenth. Pray that many would be amazed by what they hear and want to know more of this man who had such a birth. Pray that those who hear it would share it with their own families and friends. Pray also for local believers as they celebrate Christmas. Pray for times of joy as they come together. Pr that Gd would gift them with the creativity to see what island celebrations should look like. Pray for those who are without fellowship; pr that they would be overcome with joy that Jesus came to seek them out.
Update on The Mwani of Mozambique
The team in Pemba will be leaving end of November. There are currently no other Western workers coming in for the team to hand the ministry over to. Pray that God will do something awesome among the Mwani, that they will take the Good News and run with it. Pray that the handful of new believers will stand firm in their faith and grow spiritually, producing a crop of 100, 60, or 30 times what was sown.
Update on The Rangi of Tanzania
As we think ahead for what a body of believers would look like here, pray with us! Pray that God would be raising up leaders now, that he would be preparing people to be courageous, that he would already be breaking down in people this idea of religion as “law,” etc. A lot of leaps in understanding need to be made, but God did them in us who are already believers, and he can do it in the Rangi too. Please ask for wisdom and unity for those who are reaching the Rangi together.

A migrant fisherman from a team member’s village just recently died in an offshore diving accident. Please pray for the fisherman’s family and for our neighbors on Nosy Mitsio, that this would be an occasion for them to seek renewed relationships with the Creator and access to the only spiritual power which can truly save; that as our team begins to share God’s story with them, they would find Jesus is the answer to their questions.
Update on The Tanala of Madagascar
Gabriel and Nestine, along with Pastor Ravelo and his son were placed in Ambalagoavy on November 7th. Pray for this family as they begin to build relationships with local Tanala people and share the name of Christ with them.
Update on The Antandroy of Madagascar
Robena and Josefa have completed their first month in Antsaha. They are both from the Antandroy tribe themselves and are committed to seeing an evangelical fellowship of Antandroy believers. They have begun visiting the surrounding villages of Andalatanosy, Vohitraomby, Ampamata, Ambondrobe, Manalihara, and Androhondroho. A group of interested people are already gathering together once a week for teaching in Andalatanosy. Please pray that this group will commit their lives to Christ and go out to tell others of the good news.
Update on The Antakarana of Madagascar
The team has just finished developing a multi-part strategy to reach out to the people with the good news of Jesus. Whether working in the rice fields, sitting on our porches or fishing, we will speak of the God of creation and boast of him in all that we do, lifting up prayers and thanks to him as our friends watch and see that he is a part of every aspect of our lives. We will begin crafting Bible stories in the Antakarana language that they will hear, discuss, and be able to retell and share with their families. And we will work with our communities to provide much needed basic medical care and train them in the process, showing that the God of Creation is also concerned with every aspect of their lives. Please pray for us as we begin tis bold endeavour.
Update on The O of East Africa
A young lady having psychological problems recently made an initial decision to receive Jesus as Savior, Healer and Deliverer! Pray for Shah, and all of the O people to hunger and thirst for Truth and Righteousness through Jesus. Pray that Jesus disciples among the O will be faithful to share the Good News Boldly, and that the Holy Spirit will validate the message with the demonstration of His Power. Pray that MANY O will receive God’s greatest gift, like Shah did!
Update on The Makwe of Mozambique
There was a team that came from Tanzania to hold some open religious dialogues with the M leaders in palm this month. The talks were peaceful. Let’s pray that some of the Makwe will start doubting what they have been taught and that this will be a bridge for communicating the Lord. Pray for churches in the area to catch a vision to reach out to their Makwe neighbours. Also that the WORD would be rooted deep in their hearts…in good soil!

Five young me, good musicians have said they want to follow Jesus. Matis is one. He just lost his mom. Pray that he would not lose sight of Jesus at this sad time. I would like to take the band to play at a Christian Conference. Pray it would grow their faith.
Update on The Islanders of the Indian Ocean
Many islanders live lives that are overshadowed by the fear of madjini (evil spirits). Women tend to be more involved than men and often madjini are passed from generation to generation. Recently whole classes in a certain school have been overpowered by madjini. Ask God to stretch out his hand in a mighty way and rescue prisoners from the darkness. Pray also that local believers would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to cast out demons and that many here would recognise that there is power in the name of Jesus.

As the team in Pemba starts wrapping up their time here, pray for long time believer Mr. S, that he will have the encouragement and strength from God to take up the task in discipling the new believers. Currently, we are trying to gather these believers together weekly to worship and read God’s Words together. However, commitment is a big issue. Pray that these new believers will see the importance and have the desire to meet up regularly with other believers.

The San TIMO team started on October 15. Three members were given visas and so could arrive on time to join Zeka & Anita and their family. The remaining 8 adults and three children are still waiting for official approval before they can enter Namibia. Please pray they will receive this soon.

Poor rains has resulted in hunger before the usual time of struggling for food. People resort to their sinful natures when hunger sets in and bad things happen. Please pray that those who know Christ as their Saviour would be compassionate and share with those who have neither food, nor Christ.
Update on The Kacipo of South Sudan
The rainy season has been poor this year, the war has disrupted lives, the people are already hungry and the dry season is just around the corner. The Kachipo are among so many in this country who need outside aid. Please pray that as they seek physical assistance, they too would seek spiritual assistance. Pray that the church there would be a sweet refuge as people seek after God.

Please pray for the few Christian workers among this people group, that they would not be lead into temptation, that they would be a wonderful, clear, vibrant witness for those looking on. Pray for the Nyang’atom who see the Christians, like what they see, and long for the same for themselves. That they would enquire, and freely accept the great gift of salvation.
Update on The Laarim of South Sudan
During the recent South Sudan school holidays an enthusiastic group of youth went on an evangelistic outreach that included a visit to the Laarim. Many villagers were visited and heard the gospel. Please pray that there was good ‘seed’ planted and that the ‘soil’ was well prepared to receive it. Pray that it would grow and be watered by Gods Almighty hand.

There is work going on among the Toposa, gospel work, which would certainly appreciate your prayers. Pray that those already established in ministry among the Toposa would not become discouraged. Pray for more workers to join together with the existing workers, all to aim to reach those who have never heard the wonderful message of salvation through Christ alone.
Update on The Lopit of South Sudan
Inter tribal conflict continues to breed hatred and death. Their desperate need of the wonderful message of Salvation in Jesus Christ is the only answer. Praise God for the TIMO Team which is nearing the close of their 2 years living and ministering right in the heart of two Lopit villages. Pray that as they prepare to bid farewell, the Lopit who have had the privilege of hearing what Christ came to do, will be able to stay in Christ as the team depart.

The small church up in the Didinga mountains remains without a pastor, please pray that the few believers would be able to stay encouraged during this difficult time. Praise the Lord for the church at the bottom of the mountain who have an active roster of keen youth who happily trek up each week to meet with the church for encouragement.
Update on The Ik/Teus of South Sudan and Uganda
In the summer we had a terrible hailstorm that destroyed many crops along our ridge. Some gardens were completely destroyed. People are crying out for food relief from the government and NGO’s. Pray that God will provide for the needs of the people and that other families along the ridge might share what abundance they have from this harvest season with those who’ve lost much. Pray for encouragement and hope in the face of natural disasters. Also pray that people might learn to manage their food supplies better in order to stretch the supplies over 365 days. Pray, too, that physical hunger can bring to light the spiritual hunger. And for those who know the truth to be willing to share with others.

Please ask for the attendees to have good understanding and to see the differences between what they’ve heard about J and what is true about J in the Book. Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad
In a recent meeting the Mbororo elders took turns explaining their main “life issues”—their cattle are getting sick more often and not reproducing like before, their beef doesn’t sell for much, they don’t have much food these days, they are thinking of moving away from Zemio. I told them how the “Prophet Jesus” promised that in this world we would have problems, and that this world is only for a short time before we all go to another place. I confessed that I know nothing about cows, but that God has placed in our hearts a love for African people. That is why we are here—we love the people of Zemio. That we will pray for them and we hope to get to know them better, inviting them to come visit our home….

Update on The Islanders of the Indian Ocean
Pray for those who have just come back from the Hajj pilgrimage, many went in search of forgiveness of sins. Pray that as they return home they would recognise that nothing has changed in their hearts, that they still have no freedom from the power of sin. Pray that they would cry out to God for a true and lasting forgiveness. The pilgrimage ends with the festival of Eid when they will remember the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son. Pray that Gd would give many islanders the faith to believe in Jesus’ willing sacrifice for them.
Update on The Zaramo of Tanzania
Pray for freedom from the spiritual bondage that the Zaramo are under. In recent weeks, I have had more and more conversations with people regarding witchcraft and evil spirits. Pray that God would open their eyes to see that only through Jesus Christ will they have complete freedom from such bondage. Continue to pray, too, for the teachers. They have started to focus on sharing the Good News of Jesus to the outlying villages outside of Mzenga. Pray that God will continue to protect and preserve them and give them strength and courage to spread His love and grace to all. Pray, too, for the two new deacons recently installed at church. Pray for Peter and Merina, that they would serve God to the best of their abilities as deacons in the little church.
Update on The Samburu of Kenya
Pray that the Training in Ministry Outreach (TIMO) team would continue to grow in understanding of the Samburu language and culture and that the skills that they have already would build bridges with
the community. Pray also for more boys and men to turn to Christ; in areas where churches are starting, it is mostly women and children (especially girls) who attend the services.
