Nyang’atom of South Sudan: An active discipleship network now extends to the Ethiopian border among the Nyang’atom. Churches are currently being rebuilt, and new ones are being launched. Believers are engaging in house-to-house evangelism and visits. As a result, the number of believers is increasing, and the area is opening up to the Gospel. This region faces a high influence from groups that do not proclaim the Gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone. There is ongoing persecution and oppression of minority Christians. Due to the harsh realities of the land, attention to farming responsibilities can make it difficult for the church to remain functional. Pray that God’s Spirit will dwell in this place and raise up strong pastors and disciples. Pray for love and peace to restrain persecution in the region.
