Gabbra of Kenya: Some of the workers recently completed a course called Culture Meets Scripture, which they are hoping to use in discipling believers among the Gabbra people. The course is designed to help participants carefully examine how Scripture aligns with—or challenges—different cultural practices, and to consider how to faithfully move forward in light of God’s Word. Please pray for wisdom and clarity as the team prepares to take this material and share it with local leaders. Ask that these discussions would be guided by the Holy Spirit, and that they would lead to deep understanding of the gospel and healthy, rooted discipleship. Pray especially that many would come to see that following Jesus is not the rejection of their identity, but the transformation of it—that someone can be a faithful Christian while still fully belonging within Gabbra culture. Ask that God would raise up strong local leaders who rightly handle His Word and faithfully shepherd new believers in truth, grace, and love.
