Rangi of Tanzania: Last weekend, meetings in local village mosques focused on the presence of Christian workers. Influential leaders spread false claims, warning the community to avoid interacting with these foreigners. The Rangi people were told that the outsiders had come to steal precious jewels from the mountains and to corrupt village children into sinful behavior. Pray that the Rangi people would not be shaped by fear or misinformation, but instead have eyes to see the truth. Ask that hearts would be softened, curiosity stirred, and many would seek understanding for themselves. Pray that, even amid efforts to block the Good News, the Rangi people would encounter the love, peace, and truth of Jesus. Pray also that the workers would have wisdom to address these lies, courage to stand and endure, and humility to count it joy in the face of trials.
