Arabs of North Africa: Over the past two weeks, three seekers have gathered twice to read through the Gospel of Matthew. They are showing genuine interest and seeking to understand who Jesus is and what His life and teaching mean. During their most recent study, after reading Matthew 3–4, it was getting late and they needed to stop. One of the men expressed his disappointment: “But it’s just getting interesting!” What an encouraging response! Please praise God for this growing hunger to discover more about Jesus. Pray that their curiosity would lead to genuine faith as they continue reading the Gospel. Ask the Holy Spirit to open their hearts to understand the truth about Jesus. Pray for protection from spiritual opposition, so that nothing would prevent these men from continuing to seek and explore the claims of Christ. Give thanks for every opportunity to open God’s Word with people who are seeking. Pray that these men would continue reading, asking questions, and ultimately discover that Jesus is more than someone to understand—He is the Savior to follow.
