Ramadan is starting tomorrow. It is the holiest month of the year for Muslims, when they fast from sun up to sun set hoping to please God by their piety.
“What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, ‘This is the work of God,
that you believe in him whom he has sent.”’ (John 6:29) Lord, we pray that as people strive to do your work and to please you through offering sacrifices, fasting, and prayers, that You would reveal to them that the acceptable work is to believe in the One whom you have sent. We pray that Muslims would experience the futility of works-based righteousness and be open to the grace of God.
