Come to know Jesus
Diaspora in Georgia: Praise the Lord that my ESL class has now read up to chapter 7 in the gospel of John. Pray that each of my students will have a clear testimony of faith in Christ by the end of the school year.
Pray that the Lord will bring Africans and Muslims into our ESL classes, and that they will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. One man from Senegal came in September and has since been absent, pray he returns.
Receptivity to the Word
Diaspora in Michigan: Praise God for students’ receptivity to the Word in 3 English classes. This is an answer to much prayer. May God use His Word to change hearts!
Needing deliverance
Diaspora in Hong Kong: It has been a privilege for both of us to pastor a Muslim convert in a church setting. We have realized that such converts we serve require deeper liberation from Islam. Pray for God’s strength and intervention in this journey. May He deliver completely.
War in Sudan
Diaspora in Washington DC: Pray for God to send more relief through the love of Jesus for the 50 million people of Sudan affected by the destruction of war. Our friends here have family and friends there.
New Bible Study

Christianity Explored class
Diaspora in Ontario: I am advertising a free online Christianity Explored class using a large person-sized banner when doing street evangelism. Nuha, a Bangladeshi Muslim seeker has already scanned the QR code. Pray for more true seekers like Nuha to sign up and attend, to learn about Jesus.
Opportunities
Diaspora in Oregon: My husband has started meeting with a group of high school boys on Sunday nights as a part of an International Prayer Gathering. Pray for the Word of God to be powerful in the lives of these young men.
Pray also for me as I teach English to women. It has been a joy to build relationships; pray for connections and opportunities to share Jesus.
Yemenis
Diaspora in Germany: Pray for the Yemeni team. Thank God for three people who got baptized in October. Pray for a mission trip they’re preparing in December in Türkiye. May many hear and believe the gospel.
Pray for Sister Rahab who is from Yemen and active on social media (Tik Tok) who came as a refugee to Germany. Because she had been fingerprinted in Greece her asylum application was rejected and they want to send her back to Greece. She doesn’t feel safe being there. Pray for mercy.
Connections with students
Diaspora in France: Praise God for all the opportunities to share the Gospel with international students since the ministry started in Toulouse two years ago. I’m thankful for the friendships with many who come, especially those from N Africa. Pray for daily direction from the Lord in connections with students, especially in conversation.
New neighbors
Diaspora in Minnesota: Pray for our Somali friend who is moving house. Pray that she will have amazing Christian neighbors who will connect well with her. Next week I will accompany her as she goes and greets all her neighbors.
Ready to accept
Diaspora in Florida: Continue to pray for Bible studies we are having with multiple Chinese and Japanese people. Pray for Ann who has heard the gospel but is not ready to accept yet. Pray for Laura as she is being presented with an invitation to the accept the gospel message this week that her heart will be ready to accept. Continue to pray for many others that are studying right now.
Deepening faith
Diaspora in Washington DC: Pray for new Christians, for their deepening faith through Jesus, that it will bear much fruit. Pray that they will choose to spend time in God’s word and with God’s body.
Stayed for Bible study
Diaspora in Michigan: Praise God that one family who came to the Conversation Cafe on Friday night stayed for the Bible study afterward. Pray that they will continue to stay each Friday night and that others would join them in staying and interacting with the Bible story.
Spirit of deception
Diaspora in Florida: Please pray against the spirit of deception working in our Muslim friends.
Pray for conviction of the truth from the Holy Spirit.
Pray for the Muslim friends to whom we minister to become brothers and sisters.
Bible studies
Diaspora in Florida: Pray for the 15+ Chinese and Japanese students that are studying God’s word, for God to continue to draw them to himself. Pray for these students who have been really curious: Anna, Lynn, Laura, Alan, and Mikky. Praise for Dan who recently accepted Christ as his Savior. Pray for him as we come alongside and disciple him, for his faith to grow in the next 6 months before he returns to his home country.
Good start
Diaspora in Oregon: Praise for a good start to the school year at P-House. We have a full school of students. Pray for good interactions with students and opportunities to share the Gospel.
Praise that we were able to reconnect with 200 students from 10 different countries through a celebration of marriage we held at our church. Pray for good follow up and open hearts.
Stay for Bible study
Diaspora in Michigan: Pray for more Bible studies. We are starting to offer a Bible study after conversation café. Please pray people would stay to study God’s word. Pray as well for spiritual hunger for at least 3 from Fox Hills, where we teach 5 English classes, to seek Jesus prayers or Biblical conversations.

Reading John
Diaspora in Georgia: Please pray that the Lord will save each of my ESL students this year. Pray that they come to class consistently and that they enjoy getting to know who Jesus is and what He has done for them by reading the gospel of John together. Pray for the Lord to send Africans and Muslims to our ESL program.
Healing
Diaspora in Ontario: My friend’s dad, from a Hindu family, has been in a coma for a month in ICU. We sense the Lord can bring the whole family to Christ through a miracle. Pray for Mr. Vis’ healing.
Invitation to study
Diaspora in France: Praise for the launch of our new ministry! Continue to pray for even more students to come, particularly a girl or two. On Friday, Oct 4 we’re hosting our first student meal in the new apartment and will be inviting a couple of the students to join us in studying God’s Word together. Pray for a positive response!
Jesus their refuge
Diaspora in Ontario: Pray for these Muslim families from Uganda and Burundi who have recently resettled in Toronto, Canada, and Illinois, USA. May they continue to seek Jesus as their refuge during this time of adaptation to their new environment.

ESL students
Diaspora in Georgia: Please pray for the salvation of the ESL students the Lord sends our team this year, and that He will bring Africans and Muslims to us who will not be afraid to attend English classes in a church, nor read the Bible.
Pray for the salvation of three Pakistani families I’ve made friends with.
New students
Diaspora in California: Pray for the new semester activities with International students. 150 new contacts were made at the International Student Orientation. Whatever we do, may the students come to know God’s grace and salvation. Specifically pray for salvation for Rohit, Thomas, and Chris.
Pray for a student from India, Sam, who was baptized but then went through much persecution. Pray for his faith to grow strong and his witness to be bold.
New students
Diaspora in Brazil: Praise God for new students arriving for this semester, pray for new contacts and activities and conversations to speak of Christ!
Summer Bible class
Diaspora in Hong Kong: Praise the Lord for His work in the hearts of the Muslim children during the summer Bible story classes. They learned about the Son and stories of forgiveness, repentance, seeking forgiveness, and healing through prayer. Please pray for these children and their families. Please pray for the church that provides the venue, as they are still discussing whether these classes should continue, given that the church’s homework club is the priority now that the new school term has started.
New openness
Diaspora in Brazil: Praise for new opportunities to walk with Muslim women who are facing labor and delivery in a whole new country and far from family. Praise God for a new openness in these women and spiritual conversations. Pray for the Holy Spirit to draw many to the Lord.
Optional Bible story time
Diaspora in Michigan: Pray that some of those who come to our Conversation Cafe on Fridays starting the end of September will stick around for the optional Bible story time afterwards.
Fall semester
Diaspora in Alberta: Pray for the New Canadian Friendship Centre starting classes. Please pray for the students who will be coming to the Center for the fall semester and for the two (or possibly three) Bible studies that will be held after English classes.
Fatwa
Diaspora in Ontario: A fatwa was recently issued locally and published on TikTok against a Christian family from our favorite people group, mentioning them by name, and also against us, mentioning the bike ministry, tutoring, our location, my name, and declaring us to be enemies of Islam. We’re still going ahead with the bike ministry and local visitation, and it’s being well received, but please pray for all our protection.
Still has questions
Diaspora in France: One young university researcher, Mr. Lee, is interested in the Bible and knowing more about Jesus. He has already achieved “a lot of success” according to the world, yet he still has unanswered questions about life. As we continue to meet with him, pray the Holy Spirit will open his heart to believe!
Healing
Diaspora in DC: Pray for A. He is undergoing treatment for a cancerous tumor in his brain. Pray for miraculous and complete healing of his body in Jesus’ name.
Children coming
Diaspora in Hong Kong: Children’s Bible Class: Praise the Lord that five Muslim children, with open hearts, are taking an advanced Bible literacy course to learn about the Son’s story. Pray for them and their families to come to the Lord.
Creation to Christ
Diaspora in Alberta: Praise for the ESL Bible study we help with on Mondays that has 21 students attending, primarily from Asia, although a few from the Middle East, Africa and South America. Monday the 12th is the final study where Doug (leader) will tell them about Jesus. It’s a very short study, meant to be a quick Creation to Christ overview and also show us students who are interested in studying the Bible. The majority of Bible study students this summer are women. Pray that I will be able to connect with some of these women before the start of the September semester.
Reaching men and women
Diaspora in Florida: Pray for continued close relationships for me with my imam friends and for God to banish the spirit of deception that keeps them blinded.
My wife’s ministry with Muslim women is flourishing and keeping her and the other volunteers quite busy. Pray for them for strength and creativity. And balancing priorities.
New students
Diaspora in Brazil: Pray for the reception of new university students, may there be a man and a woman of peace among non-Christians arriving on campus. Pray for blessing on outreach events to get new students plugged into Bible studies and other programs.
