Fifty North African Muslims have signed up for an ESL course in Montreal. Pray for relationships to develop between them and their francophone church teachers. Pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to them through their ESL learning.

20 kids made decisions to follow Jesus at our summer camps. Pray for the campers who dedicated their lives to Christ, that they would continue to pursue that relationship.
It has been encouraging to see the sponsorship program grow and see how God is using Naomi House to reach the lost and also to support persecuted Christians. We expect our first 2 sponsorships to arrive this fall. Pray God will bless the residents and draw them to Himself.

Diaspora in Calif, USA

Praise for a great beach day with International students. Pray for continuing opportunities to meet up with students and for gospel filled conversations. Pray that the International students will have receptive and soften hearts to the Gospel News and that they might meet and fall in love with Jesus while they study in the US.

Diaspora in France

A new school year means a lot of international students have arrived from the 4 corners of the world. Over the last three weeks we have met so many different students and we are slowly starting to build relationships. Ask the Lord to have mercy on these new students. Pray for the Lord to open doors for us to proclaim the mystery of Christ. Pray for many believers to obey the call to go and make disciples in their different contexts.

Diaspora in South Carolina

* Pray for our making connections with our friends in South Carolina, we are hoping to renew friendships with an Indian family living two doors down. Ask the Lord to open their hearts to the gospel.
* Pray for the leadership of the small Akira church plant near Suswa, as they need God’s wisdom leading the small group of believers.

Diaspora in South Africa

* Praise for a fruitful mission into Phoenix Durban with our church from Stellenbosch. The community of Phoenix is predominantly Indian and practices Islam and Hinduism. Pray for each one who heard the gospel to ponder its message, and ask the Holy Spirit to grant repentance.

Diaspora in Canada

Pray for Ivan and Asher, both Somali, to be free from their addictions. Pray for many Somali youth and young men in Toronto who are caught up in gang violence. Pray that their conversations and interaction with Christ- centered Christians will lead them to freedom in Christ.

Diaspora in Florida

* Pray more Muslim women will come to our exercise and sewing classes. Pray that these women will be receptive to the Good News and would have seeking hearts to ask good questions.
* Pray we have wisdom as we share our ministry with churches at mission conferences this month. Pray that the congregations will be challenged and moved to share with their Muslim neighbors.

Diaspora in France

* Praise God for the young Afghan refugee “Omar” that T. has gotten to know via our French class. We had him over for dinner last week. Please pray that as T. is leaving, Omar would connect with other Christian men.
* T. and I have had several Gospel conversations with friends, and were able to connect some of our Muslim friends with Christian friends this past week. Please pray that these relationships would flourish and that these friends would “taste and see” that Jesus is good – and that He is God.

Diaspora in Canada

* We begin (Lord willing) our English classes this week (October 4th). Please pray that God would be at work in the students who have registered- opening their hearts to search for the Truth as they hear the gospel this year and read his Word.
* We have our first children’s drop-in of the school year on October 2nd. Please pray for many North African families to attend, and for all the logistics with Covid Passports etc. to not be a hindrance. Please pray for these families to come to Christ.
* Pray that the Holy Spirit would really guide K. and I. May we serve with humility and do everything for the glory of God.

Diaspora in Missouri

Pray for eight Muslim Sudanese who are enrolled in a Programmable Logic Controller program at a community college. They are having significant interaction with Christian teachers in the intense program.

Diaspora in South America

May the Lord enable His church to intentionally engage with immigrant people, understanding that the presence of the nations among us represents an historic opportunity to be and to proclaim the good news.
Pray for the Senegalese family that we are working with (Ma., Mo. and baby Mo.; Amie, Mam. and Do.).
Pray for Ai. She is Mozambican and Muslim. She is open to the gospel, but she has many fears, including her family.
Pray for wisdom in working with Senegalese, knowing the best moments and ways to approach,  and what to say, choosing the moment to present the gospel to them.
“His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land.” (Ps. 2)

Diaspora in Kentucky

*Praise God for the various evangelistic initiatives to Somali immigrants and refugees in our city. Please pray for ongoing gospel conversations and that Somalis would desire to read the Bible.

” Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O LORD!” (Ps. 25:7)

Diaspora in UK

* Praise God that the Welsh government has eased restrictions: no social-distancing if we wear masks in public indoor settings. This is the first time since March 2020 that the International Women’s Sewing Group will be back in church working together on sewing machines. Please ask God to provide both helpers and ladies to attend as we seek to share God’s love through Word and deed in these Monday sewing classes.
* We are thankful that one immigrant lady has spread the news about Homework Club in the community. Join us in asking God to provide both teenagers who will come and Christian helpers.
* In this academic year, also pray that God will continue to strengthen relationships between the helpers and families in the Somali community.

Diaspora in South Carolina

* Through our friends in Kenya we have learned that some of their relatives are living in our area. They are Sikhs but not so devout. Our Sikh friend in Kenya is a believer but none of his relatives in Kenya or  the US are believers. Pray that God will give wisdom as we look for ways to connect with them.
* Continue to pray for the new church plant in that area to have a burden and outreach to these migrants coming into the US.

“Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sin.” (Ps. 25:18)

Diaspora in Portland

* We are starting the school year, and are excited to begin classes again! We would appreciate prayer that the classes would go smoothly and that we would have lots of students coming this year.
* We are starting to find times to meet with students outside of class. Please pray for Jesus-centered conversations during these times!

Diaspora in Wisconsin

* Praise the Lord for a very successful soccer tournament and a great family picnic. Pray that the relationships built during these two events will bear fruit for the Kingdom.
* Pray for our workers’ Fall kick off meeting at our house on September 19th. We are thankful for the many workers that have joined our team and we pray that they will be encouraged to continue doing ministry.

* Praise for a good camping trip and good conversations in August. Pray for continued relationships and that the truth that was spoken will be acted upon.
* Pray for unity among our team working with International Students as we begin a new semester. Pray for new students to join us. Pray for the planned beach day September 18 which will include surfing lessons!

Diaspora in Washington

* Pray with us for our Afghan students and their families and friends. We praise God he provided safe passage back to the USA for all our students who went to visit this summer! We continue to pray for Afghan Christians who are being threatened by the Taliban and for others who qualify for evacuation due to danger; but who have been unable to leave.

* The Faith of Abraham Study Bible Notes project is crawling forward. Please pray for wisdom for the web developer. The project is also underfunded. Please pray for God’s abundant provision.
* Our imams seem to have withdrawn. Please pray for a renewal of contacts with them.
* One of our mosques is building a new masjid immediately next door to a Baptist church. The Orlando team has finally been able to begin a relationship with the new pastor of that church. Pray that they will seize the opportunity that God has brought them.

“For your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my guilt, for it is great. Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.” (Ps. 25:11, 12)

* Praise:
* Z has been baptized! This is a student that has been hearing the Gospel for the last 5 years. It was a blessing to be a part of this day.
* The team is growing and the Lord is sending new workers.
* Prayer requests:
* Pray for M, another student, who has been walking her journey for a while. Pray that she will have the boldness to take that final step and that the Lord will take the scales off her eyes.
* Pray for our new school year. We will be meeting many new students soon. Pray the Lord will lead us to those searching.

* Pray for our volunteer teams as we welcome new refugees to our city. Pray that the teams can be equipped and welcome the new refugees well.
* Pray for Mr. A. He has opened up about some hard things in his past. He saw some visions during Ramadan. He is close to the truth. Pray he continues to seek.

Praise God with us for the baptism of Mr A on Sunday. A small intimate group with 2 other North African believers attended the baptism. Pray for this brother in Christ as he goes to his home in North Africa to reconcile with his wife who is Muslim. Pray for his safety and safe return to USA with his wife.

Diaspora in Canada

* Praise for seeds of prayer and conversation planted throughout this summer through our bike ministry. Please pray that we will end it well, and transition well to more academic pursuits.
* Pray for our Somali local brothers and sisters suffering from mental Illness and emotional distress caused by COVid isolation.
* Pray for our upcoming season of ESL classes and tutoring – we’re not sure in light of the current rise of COVid variants how much we’ll be welcomed into homes, or whether we’ll be doing much of our outreach via zoom.
* Pray for renewal of fireside chats with our Muslim neighbors, and for our Somali fellowship to be restored to unity.

Diaspora in Missouri

* SP will travel to Houston for a survey trip Sept. 22-24. Pray for preparations and appointments with those God would have us meet with.
* Noel ESL classes begin first week of September. Few students have enrolled. Pray for the word to get out and students to come. SP will be able to substitute teach and proctor testing. Pray for wisdom as S. and E. schedule days to serve in Noel. Ask God to lead seekers to them.

“Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me.
Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.” (Ps. 25:19, 20)

Diaspora in Philadelphia

* Please pray for our ESL classes which will start the beginning of September.
* Pray for more teachers to volunteer. Pray for all of the logistics of coming back in person after a year and a half of being on zoom. Pray for us to be able to follow up with new students, to start new friendships.
* Pray for us as we seek to connect with people coming to our city from Afghanistan.

Diaspora in Hong Kong

* Please pray for Umm K’s testing result whether she has got cancer or not. Hope she will be willing to hear the gospel and understand that Yahweh is above Allah.
* Thank God for M to share with us that his living was a life of indulgence and debauchery. We will start from there to share with Him about Jesus.
* Please continue to pray for God’s calling for more volunteers for the Children’s corner and Chinese class for Adults, and providing more opportunities to share the gospel as well.

“He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.” (Ps. 25:9)

Diaspora in France

Pray for a friend from Morocco. She has had recent discussions about faith with a few Christians. She moves to another city soon. She’ll be spending time with us August 31 and we’ll give her a Gospel of Luke. Pray she will accept it and read it. May God speak to her heart.

Diaspora in Detroit

* Pray for good communication and wisdom for Welcome Teams for Refugees: In the past almost all of our connections with new families have been really great. This time around, everyone has blood family ties in town, which has changed the dynamics. Please pray for wisdom on how to connect with these families.

* Sunday 8/29 is our summer picnic. Pray this would be a great time to connect with many families and volunteers.

Diaspora in Canada

We just finished a camping experience for kids aged 10-13 from the Toronto area. We presented the Gospel through Bible stories from Creation to Christ, pointing them to their need for a Saviour. Pray that the Lord will continue to work in the hearts of the kids who attended – that they may be impacted by the Gospel and see their need for Christ.
August 23-27 we will be in Alberta for Camp Rhino, a children’s camp geared towards Muslim children.  Pray that many Muslim kids will attend, and that they will hear the Gospel and respond to the Saviour. Pray that all the logistical things will be taken care of before the camp.

Diaspora in Minnesota

* Pray for a deepening of relationships at one of our local mosques. (We have a group of ten people who met there recently to begin relationships.)
* Mr. A was able to share some deep stuff with me the other night. It was a blessing to be trusted to hear some of his stories. Pray that we can continue to connect and that I can point him to Jesus.
* Continue to pray for the Congolese family as they adjust to life in America. Pray for more volunteers to welcome new refugees who are coming into our city.

Diaspora in Spain

* Pray for the refugees in our center. One of them, a practicing Muslim, came to our church service last week and received the Word happily. Pray that he would come again and begin to bring others and to begin deeper spiritual conversations in the center.
* Praise for new connections made among the Saharawi community through language classes. Ask the Lord to work in their hearts to hear and believe the gospel.

Diaspora in Kentucky

* Praise God for opportunities to share the gospel with Somali friends. Please pray that God would grant them repentance and faith and that these friends would desire to read God’s Word.
* Praise God for the one Somali believer we’ve met in our city. Please pray that he would grow in his faith, be bold in evangelism, and join a healthy local church.
* Praise God for our local church and other churches in the city who are reaching out to Somalis. Please pray for open doors into the Somali community and open hearts to the gospel.

Diaspora in Canada

Pray for our summer camps for newcomers. One is a wilderness canoe trip and the other is geared for Muslim youth. Please pray for energy and excitement for the staff and that the youth would experience the one true God through nature, relationships, testimony, and the Holy Spirit.

Diaspora in Noel

* Praise that two trauma healing groups are fully trained. Pray that the Lord will use them to bring healing and hope into their people groups and community.
* Pray for the relationships that are being formed and nurtured in the community garden. There have been many fruitful spiritual conversations in the past month.
* RAISE will be having a garden event on August 15th. We are planning to assemble a shed and benches and harvest, cook, and eat together. There will be activities for the kids as well. Pray for good weather, a good turnout and good connections between our local and diaspora participants.

Diaspora in Wisconsin

Our soccer tournament outreach will be held this Saturday, the 14th of August. Pray for the preparations and that we would have good conversations and share Truth. Ask the Lord to open ears and hearts so that many will believe.

Diaspora in Portland

Please pray for divine conversations as we go camping this week with church members and will host several Muslim families at our campsite.
Praise for a great farm trip last Saturday. “S” (a believer from Morocco) was able to really connect with one of the Moroccan men. Please pray that “S” would be able to go deeper spiritually with “Y”.
Praise that “A” got a job. Now he is trying to go back to Algeria and bring his wife to the U.S. Please pray that she will be open and receptive to him. She has cut off communication with all of us now on social media.

Diaspora in Hong Kong

* I shared with my African M friend S about the Lord’s divine control and it really comforted her. I hope to continue to share with her some Bible verses. Please remember S in your prayers.
* We are helping the undergraduate students of a church to have a fun fair with the Diaspora African kids. Last night, they listened to the testimony of an African asylum seeker and were so impressed and encouraged- even though he encountered so many difficulties, he still preaches the gospel in Hong Kong.
* Please pray for our tutorial class and that the church will continue to provide the place to run the class and more Diaspora refugee students will join.

Diaspora in Brazil

Praise God with us for the advancement of work among Senegalese in Tapejara – RS, we had a significant increase of those attending our Portuguese classes. Pray for the Lord to open students’ hearts to the gospel.
Pray for the meetings with church partners early August.
Pray for conversations with the companies that employ the majority of Senegalese. We are looking to open  Portuguese classes in their buildings.

Diaspora in UK

Pray for the East Midlands August Outreach team July 31st to August 8th. The objective of the team is to help an East Midlands town centre church reach out to and build relationships with the African Diaspora community who are living in their local area.
Pray the afternoon ‘family activity club’ run by the team in a local school will be appreciated by those attending. Events will include crafts, a community art project, Olympic themed mini sports, and an opportunity for the mothers to practice their spoken English.
Pray for the team as they visit local cafes and parks in the late afternoons and early evenings to have good conversations with local people.
Pray for good weather as some activities will be outside.
