Karimojong of Uganda: In Kotido, a Bible storytelling programme is helping people engage with Scripture even when they cannot read or do not have their own Bible. Over 12 weeks, people from seven small village congregations gathered to learn a Bible story each week. With the help of a faithful local church leader, they repeated and practiced each story until everyone could remember it, then explored together what it meant for their lives today. The gatherings were filled with laughter as people discovered familiar Bible stories in new ways. The programme also aims to understand how Scripture is remembered, shared, and lived out in communities. Pray that these stories will take deep root in people’s hearts, transform lives, and be passed on to others. Pray for more opportunities for people without access to written Bibles to hear and understand God’s Word, and for many to come to know Jesus through it.
