Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad

Praise God for the preparations which are being made for a team to come to work among the Mbororo in CAR. Recently a truck filled with supplies for team house construction arrived safely in a nearby village. Team leaders and construction coordinators are to fly in on September 4th to begin the initial stages of logistics, relationship building, and language learning…..in preparation for the team (scheduled to begin ministry in August 2016). Pray that God would establish the work of their hands, loosen their tongues, and bless their interaction with the Mbororo. Pray that the details for their initial entrance into CAR would be laced with God’s hand of favor!

Ramadan Day 6
These nomadic people prioritize their cattle and I$lam above all else. Please pray Mal. 4:2 “ But for those who revere My Name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings… and you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.” May the Mbororo experience the freedom and joy found in Jesus.

Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad

Since the beginning of 2015, there has been an increase in activity by the Lord’s Resistance Army in the areas of Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic. The Mbororo who are nomads living in this area have been affected. They are often looted of goods and have even had their donkeys stolen to be used for transport of goods. Pray that the Mbororo—amidst this atmosphere of fear—would find everlasting peace through Jesus. Pray that the few MP3 players which have been dispersed in strategic areas in these two countries would be understood by the Mbororo. These small devices have parts of the Bible recorded in their language: Fulfulde. Pray that out of the chaos and trauma, that God would use His Word to bring hope to the Mbororo!

Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad

In a recent visit to the Central African Republic, we were able to meet with the Mbororo Chief Omar and some elders. They spoke of extreme tension in their town, where just recently fighting broke out between the Mbororo and the Zande tribes–there was gunfire and burning of houses. Chief Omar revealed his desire to move out of the town and resettle in a smaller, distant village. Clearly there is a dire need for peace in this town. Pray for God’s intervention, which would allow the Mbororo to stay and allow a future ministry initiative to these same Mbororo to be able to go through!

Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad

Our verse is Mal. 4:2 “ But for those who revere my name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings… and you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.” The Mbororo are the cattle herders of the larger Fulani People Group, so this verse seems especially applicable to them. Please pray it would be so.

Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad

Pray that these great, migratory herdsmen would come to know the true Shepherd of souls and the “abundant life” which only Jesus brings. Pray also that God would raise up His Church to have vision as well as hands and feet to reach out to the many Mbororo clans who migrate into areas where the Gospel is already planted. As a team prepares for ministry with the Mbororo, pray that God would provide just the right location for housing. A trip will be made in early December to address this very issue.

Ramadan Day 26: Tonight is the ‘night of power’ – the holiest night of the year for Muslims. It’s a celebration of the arrival of the Qur’an. Many Muslims will pray all night seeking guidance, revelation, mercy, forgiveness, and salvation. Pray God would answer those prayers! Pray many people would have a supernatural encounter with God tonight.

Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad

Ramadan Day 15: Pray for the many Muslims suffering due to drought and conflict. Pray their hearts would be opened and they would call out to the Prince of Peace. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Rom 10:13).

Ramadan Day 4: If we walk in God’s ways and follow His chosen fast, He promises that, “Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and He will say ‘Here I am'” (Isaiah 58:8-9). Ask God to show fasting Muslims that their fast is not pleasing or acceptable to Him. Pray they would seek to know how to truly please God.

Update on The Mbororo of CAR and Chad

Because of the conflict in the Central African Republic, many Mbororo (as many as 80,000) have been forced to flee as refugees into Eastern Cameroon. Because of the long trek and the lack of good pasture land, their cattle are emaciated and dying. Prices are falling from the normal of $500 per head down to a mere $50, as the Mbororo desperately try to eek out a living. Pray that in this time of extreme turmoil and change, that many Mbororo would be drawn to the Prince of Peace. Pray for the believers who God has already placed in Cameroon–that they would be hospitable ambassadors of Jesus to a suffering people.
